Are you a fan of going to the dentist office? You can be honest; typically, patients don’t like visiting the dentist. Why is that? Patients are mostly afraid of a dentist finding a cavity. But visiting the dentist is key to maintaining clean and healthy teeth and gums.
To calm our patients’ nerves, we provide sedation dentistry.
Sedation Dentistry Relaxes Restless Nerves
You may confuse sedation treatment with anesthesia, but the two have different purposes. Sedation relaxes patients’ nerves—it’s like calming the butterflies in your stomach. On the other hand, local anesthetic blocks pain and is typically used during restorative treatments:
- Root canal therapy
- Dental implants
- Crown placement
Is Sedation Dentistry in Wichita Only Used During Advanced Dental Treatments?
Sedation can be administered during advanced procedures, but you can also get one during a regular dental checkup and cleaning. As long as you are able to have sedation, we can provide it during any treatment.
The levels of sedation vary. Please consult with one of our Wichita dental staff to find out which sedation dentistry options are available. Call (316) 685-5321 for more information.
